Carrotwood Pods
what is carrotwood pods i just have to ask.. call me stupid.
hope...lol.. I don't know what they are either..
Carrotwood (Cupaniopsis anacardioides) pods come from an apparently invasive tree growing in Florida. "The brightly colored fruit is a yellow, three-lobed capsule which, when ripe (May to June) splits open to expose three shiny black seeds encased in red or orange fleshy tissue." The dried pods can be used for crafts and potpourri mixes.
I cannot think of anyone I know who has it. But I will check around and take a stroll thru the woods and see If I can come up with something. I have a couple of local traders that might know were some is too. I will let you know if I find something for ya.
Very nice of you ... thanks!!
Here is a site that describes the tree:

My parents have two adult Carrotwood trees in their back yard. If you want, I could contact you when they drop alot of seedpods. Nolt sure if you'd still be interested since your post is about two years old.
