What's wrong with this vine ?

Gent, Belgium(Zone 8a)

My neighbour would like to know what's wrong with his vine.
It's a vine which is grown for its leaves, He's Turkish and they use the leaves in the cooking, the grapes themselves are not eatable. He has no idea of its ID, but it is one that is commonly grown in Turkey.
The young leaves are showing like some lumps and some but not all show tiny holes. I would think it could be caused by a tiny insect not visible to the eye.
Thanks a lot for any help!

I don't usually visit this forum, lol, but I must have it in my watched forums.

The first leaf looks typical of damage caused by a small moth, which would usually hatch from a small web attached under the leaf.

I googled for 'vine moth' and got one! It is common on the continent, and the pic is of one in Belgium.

Thanks a lot Wallaby!!
I think you're right! But I hesistate to tell him the whole truth, My neighbours are not nature-minded and they might start to kill arbitrarily any moth-like creature they see. I think I'm going to tell him it's caused by a little invible insectlarva and advise him to pick off the affected leaves.

I would do that too, lol!
