What do you use for fertilizer?

Just curious what you use for fertilizers and how often you use it.

5-10-10 omce when growth starts & once for later fall growth. Whatever you use, keep nitrogen low, othewise plant go to leaves.

I use a tea made from alfalfa pellets..........before bloom, and a month or so after

I have sandy soil so my formula might be a little stronger. I use 10-10-10 mixed 1:1 with superphosphate, so an ending formula of about 5-27-5 on my tall bearded. The medians, that are more vigorous I use lawn starter, 18-24-6. with trace elements. (I use Penningnton). This is in early April when I first see growth.

Then I give them a shot of Miracle Gro liquid once or twice..

Assuming here you're talking about bearded. A whole other mix for beardless.
