I'm looking for a colorful flowering vine we can plant to grow over our veranda. None of the California natives will do, so my next thought was a non-invasive Southwest native or non-native. We have a Constance Elliot passiflora growing at the other end of the structure. I've since learned that these are considered invasive here, so I don't want to compound my error and I'm thinking about removing it.
The area is in full sun.
Any ideas would be welcome. We won't be planting until fall, so I have lots of time to research.

Flowering vine
I think Crossvine, Bignonia capreolata would be great, it is evergreen, blooms heavily in the spring and never has insects or disease, I have it and love it.

Josephine.
Oooh, that looks interesting and it's big enough to do what we want, too. The hummingbirds would love it.
Thanks for the tip, Josephine. Will definitely put that high on the list.
