Need expert advice on starting lavander seeds. Bought some last spring and none came up. I know the source of the seeds is reliable,(Dave is our neighbor and bought them from his store) so has to be me. Is there some trick to it? I put part of them in pots and the rest I seeded outside in the herb garden. Nothing. Can anyone help?
Lavander seeds
Lavender needs to be stratified. Plant the seeds outside in the fall or plant them in the winter and place the flat outside for a month where it will get some frost action. You could also chill the flat in your fridge if you seal it in a zip lock bag. I got excellent germination from seeds that I bought last year.... I just put the flat out on my porch for a month.
Thank you so much!!!! That is just the info. I needed.
