If you have any extra, I would love to try some, too.

Let me know,

I love bloodroot. If you have any left, I would definitely like some; for postage or anything you want from my meager list of "haves". Please don't let any get thrown away, I'll take all you have leftover! I'm going to bed now, but d-mail me if you have some for me. Thanks!!

Mableton, GA(Zone 7a)

P.S. I have unnamed daylily seeds if you want them. I'm never, ever going to grow them from seed, but couldn't just throw them out last fall. If you want them, you can have them even if you do run out of bloodroot.

Hi....I have enough for 3....great...well...they grow in the woods...under heavy tree cover...in the spring...there are not any leaves on the trees..so that starts them up....they bloom for...about 1 full week...then it turns to leaves...and maybe..get to 8-10 high.....strange leaves...if you want to see the leaves I can take a picture....

Bay City, MI(Zone 6a)

Diana,
I would be thrilled. I will check back with you when the weather begins to change. Thanks!
Didn't the Native people use the roots extract for face painting? That is what my grandmother once told me. ??

Hey y'all, if I'm not intruding, please be careful with this plant. The roots are extremely caustic (wear a mask and gloves when working with the dried root). Medicinely, the roots are used in a salve to remove cancers. Having personal experience in using this, I can tell you that it does work, but it is not a gentle healer.
It's a beautiful plant and I wish I had room for a big clump of it. Guess I'll have to get a bigger box.

Blkhand, howdy neighbor! You are just a Heine Brothers away. lol (a coffee shop for the rest of y'all)
