Your Princess is a beauty. What a nice thing to see first thing in the morning!
Princess Diana is one of my favorite Clematis texensis.
Ooh, aah! I'm also in love with Lincolnshire Lady! She's a beauty!
Isn't she lovely? I just got her last week from Chalk Hill but she seems totally unstressed from the trip. Princess Diana also semms unfazed by the shipping.
That's because Chalk Hill is an excellent nursery and send out top quality plants.
I agree Shirley. Chalk Hill is one of four mail order nurseries that get my repeat business for Clematis. I am giving Koi Gardens a try this year due to price and Jeanne's recommendation. Have you tried Koi yet?
I e-mailed Koi Gardens, but they were already sold out of the ones that I wanted. Therefore, I'm waiting until he offers some other varieties. Jeanne swears by him, so Koi Gardens MUST be good!
Ooh - that Lincolnshire Lady is VERY pretty! Do the blooms always stay spiky like that?
Digi, yes that is the bloom in totally opened form.
Doggone it!! (as I get out my "must have" list - AGAIN!)
I think I may have to put Linconshire Lady on my wishlist
Dorothy
venu209 - you need to go post that picture on the PlantFiles. The Lincolnshire Lady entry doesn't have any pics yet!
Thanks Digi, I'll do that. I know I'm always disappointed when I search and there's no pics in plantfiles. I rely on our pics for the "truth" rather than nursery pics that sometimes spent too much time in photoshop.
your Pricess Diana is very pretty. It is on my loooooong list of wants.
