Just light showers on and off here so far, waiting for the good soaking rain probably this evening and over night. Only 48 degrees and I don't think it will get much warmer. Just glad to get some rain finally.
1/2 inch so far.
Cool, with glorious beneficial rain. Am making bolognese sauce and potting up some seedlings.

gibbous?
Gibbous is between the quarters and the full moon.
Your sunrise is earlier than mine now, Candyce. Rise/set is 5:57 and 7:50.
He 'gibbous' and he 'takeous' away...
The sun now crosses the meridian (due south) at 12:53 here, and reaches a maximum position in the sky of 63.2 degrees. Closing in on summer!
Almost. Almost.
Last week sure felt like summertime. This week is more 'normal', even to the rainy days and nights. We are under another Flood Watch for most of the state. Sure looks wet out there today!
Victor, I always have fun reading your posts, lol!
89 degrees here and our air conditioner has stopped working. Yikes - our a/c man can't come; "maybe" tomorrow; we leave at the crack of dawn on Wednesday. I reapeat: Yikes! We delivered all of my 'still pretty" plants to various neighbors this morning. PT was chock full. One neighbor even got a shepherd's hook to hang the scarlet supertunias on. Another neighbor fell in love with the first huge bloom on the White Luna Hardy Hibiscus that has grown from a seed I brought down with me. So, I decided to give it to her. That opens up a little bit of room in the car. LOL
Thanks Deb! Wow - that's hot, Louise.
Yup, and getting hotter by the minute in here, Victor! Probably not a good plan to cook dinner for my niece for one last visit before we leave, huh? Chicken with the last of my onions and peppers over brown rice.....that's what's left to use up! LOL Guess I should just hush and suck it up! That's part of being a "winterer" here, I guess.
Cook it on the pavement!
Hey Louise what part of Fl are you in? Our friend does A/C he lives in Orlando.
Pouring right now! About 3/4 inch so far.
Fairly heavy rain--garden needs it, but means no snitching pollen off the pumilas.
And none making me sneeze either!
Our rain has stopped at 1/2", but predictions of rain for the next 3 days.
I. pumila are 4-5" tall. You have to get down on your knees to sneeze.
I'm often low in the garden! The sequence is knees, wheeze and sneeze...(Hopefully no bees nor fleas!)
heehee
You're a poet, Victor!
Ha ha - thanks!
Ugh - two days from May!
Sorry Al.
Al I'm sooooo sorry!!!
Louise..it was going to be 89 and humid in Florida today so I headed home!! LOL
It was 74 @ 3:30 am when I woke up in Florida....arrived @ O'Hare at 8 am to 40's and rain. Flew from Chicago to Portland and arrived to 50 degree's and misting. Now im home and it has been raining lightly and it's chilly. So I made ham, potatoes and fresh stringbeans to warm this old Yankee's bones up. It's good to be home!!
