Headboard for Flower Bed

I recently found this brass headboard in a second hand shop for the low low price of $6. I figure it will make a nice addition to one of my flower beds. It even has decorative porcelain do-dads with flowers painted on them. Is there anything I should spray or treat it with to help it last longer out in the weather?
