Awhile back there was some mention of support for mellons and gourds.. I came upon this system sold for just this... I thought it might be of interest..even if you were making your own..
I just finished an upward extention to a bamboo trellis I had topping my fence... I extended it up another 6ft on the north side..so I could enjoy flowering on my side...a bumper crop of morning glory seedlings....and passion vines..and others...

Oh, Gordon . . . I'm glad you posted that link! I can't get something like that myself, but I can start buying the parts here and there for making one next year!

Thank you so much for this site.

I just planted giant pumpkin seed in one of my raised beds and want to plant something climbing in the middle.I plant cucumbers,peppers etc on bamboo tepees but I never tried melons.

Please post some pictures when you get things set up.I enjoyed them so much last year.
