Got photos of prairie gardens?

Glen Ellyn, IL(Zone 5b)

I'm doing an article on prairie gardens, and I need some good photos. This seems like the right forum to ask in.

Are you looking for something neat and orderly or naturalized? There is a thread over in Cottage Gardening of a fabulous prairie garden http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/697351/ . I have pictures of a more naturalized prairie garden that is at Volo Bog if you would be interested in those.

Yes, please, I would be very interested in the more naturalized garden. Vovo bog is a wonderful site.

Is the photo posted above your own?

I love going to Volo bog, the gardens they have are spectacular especially mid-late summer when everything is blooming the pictures don't really them it justice. The photo above is mine and so are the following.

Oh, yes!

The prairie doesn't really take off until the hot season.

Though I did spot a pasque flower the other day.

Wow! Way beyond cool! Could I just ask what was the plant blooming white in the next to last photo, right side?

Looks kinda like a white liatris?

I think it is actually Culvers root, but I am not 100% sure.

It is incredibly beautiful!

Pretty sure it's Culver's Root.

These thread is so inspiring and helpful. As a newby it helps to see these natives in action.
