My husband is building me a beautiful arbor (8" x 18") so that we can grow our favorite climbers and also have a place to hang a hammock swing. The 18' sides are east and west facing. The west side is 6 feet from the edge of our woods. My question is this: does anyone know of a climber that will grow with such limited light? I don't even care if it produces flowers as it will be on the far side of the arbor. I'd like it to fill in in the back as I have a street and a house 150' on the other side of the woods and I am looking to create privacy for my yard without a fence. I'm on Cape Cod in MA which is zone 5, 6 or even 7 depending on who you ask ;-) Any suggestions?
