Need Help With Corn in N.Central Florida

This will be our first year to grow corn here .We only planted about 100 plants in two 30ft. rows .

I hear it needs lots of nitrogin ,is this true ?

Plants are only about 5 inches tall now .I think they should be darker green but not sure .

We are using fish emulsion and some ashes from oak and cherry clearing .

I think you might have better luck in the veggie forum. They have helped me alot this year.
