Hey everybody,
Would anyone happen to know of a site with good instructions on exactly how to prune young fruit trees and when is best? I'm in zone 5 and it's just starting to warm up here, the Tulips, Crocus and Hyacinths are just starting out of the ground. I'd like to get our Apple, Plum and Pear trees (all dwarf) pruned asap. We missed pruning them last year. I'm pretty sure this is the 3rd year we've had them, if memory serves...which it may not!
We have a dwarf Pear that has branches to our second story windows, that guy really needs some help.
Ok, one last thing...by a "good" site I'm hoping to find one with pictures...once I get out to prune it's so easy to forget and confuse everything I'm supposed to be doing. I'm hoping I can print out the pics, tape them to my forehead and then do the pruning correctly, lol.
Thanks so much for any help and advice!
Heather
