Hi everyone,
I posted this on the rose forum already but thought I do it here as well.
What you see is the cancerous Root gall on roses. Some Rosarians prune/cut it away and spray the infected area with a antibacterial solution or smear some anti bacterial oinment on the wound. It also can happen on the crown ( Crown Gall ) or on the stems ( Stem Gall )
I didn't,instead of I returned the bareroot packaged rose to the store.
