Has anyone noticed different traits in flowers being either dominate or recessive, like color, eye patterns, season blooming, foliage habit, sculpting, etc.
My son (14) wants to develop a computer program that if you put it your pod and pollen parents, it would give percentages of likely seedlings. Need to find some info to help him.

Iris Traits
Both the plicata pattern & pink color are recessive. Within the plicatas there are equal parts: plicata, luminata and glaciata (pla) written with a raised a. Carotine is usually dominate over anthrocyanin. If you wish to cross to variegated foliage & acquire the same, the variegated should be used as the pod parent.
