Some of my deer resistant lists say clematis spp. is deer resistant. I am not sure what that is and if it is a desired plant. Can anyone suggest a deer resistant variety? I am trying to plant one along my wrought iron fence and the deer will eat it from the outside of the yard if it is really yummy. Thanks.

Annie..I don't know of a clematis that is deer resistant..I would suggest planting Society Garlic in those areas and putting out Shavings of Irish Spring to deter deer!!..Jeanne
