Experience with fly eliminators??

Anyone have experience with fly eliminators? With three horses on only three acres now I am worried the flies are going to be awful this year!!! I clean the paddock daily and the pastures weekly but still I am already seeing flies. I have seen the ads for the fly eliminators that you put down once a month but didn't know if it was worth the money and time. What do you guys think? Any other suggestions? The horses are going to end up being out 24/7 for a couple months starting in June.
