Concrete Paver Patio Construction

I would like advice on how to prepare the base for 2'x2' concrete flagstones in a patio that will probably end up being around 20ftx20ft when finished. I have seen articles about preparing the base to allow good drainage etc, however my property in Plymouth, MI is almost completely pure sand, so drainage is not an issue. What advice does anyone have to prepare a base in this situation ?
