Okay, I know some things can be invasive, but... currants and gooseberry plants can't be sent to NJ because of state laws.
Why? Does anyone know? I want to have pots full of gooseberries! They're not considered noxious or invasive, are they? Is there something with NJ agriculture that they compete with?

Why are Currants and Gooseberries Prohibited in NJ?
I assume it is because that the Ribes species such as currants and gooseberries are the alternate host to white pine blister rust.. Patti
news to me.... sorry I'm no help... just wanted to say hello neighbor!
There is a native black currant, can be found in your State. maybe you could find one somewhere?
