Awesome pictures everyone. Hope Spring will actually show up soon!!
My daughter has been trying so hard to handfeed this Carolina Wren. Yesterday, it was so funny to watch because it was playing with her. She'd stand there, it would act like it was going to feed from her hand, then she'd disappear and turn up right behind my daughter!! Too funny!! At one point, though, she was able to pet its tailfeathers. It didn't fly away, instead it continued to eat from the feeder. Maybe today she'll have more luck!

Wow! I just went out to fill the platform feeder and the Carolina Wren was there. So, I put food in my hand, and held my hand out. She looked like she was going to take food from me, then flew off and landed on the platform feeder not one foot away from me, grabbed a peanut and flew off! I love birds with personalities!!
Lovely pics everyone! Loved that little tweety pie waiting for spring Adel! :-)))
I can't believe I'm not taking any pictures since I usually take a at least a hundred most days but I'm super involved in planning a re-landscape for my entire yard! I can't imagine having to do it without the internet as a resource. !!!
Awesome experience Lily!
How sweet!! I can't wait to see the little heads popping up.
Their nest is so beautiful!
Pelle
Lol, dellrose, didn't you follow the signs? Your grumpy looking Bluebird always gives me a smile!
lily, what a puffy Robin!
Dinu, is that a peanut shell on the nest, lol, it looks to have a range of dried berries, tissue paper, you name it! A good capture!
Great shot of the C. Wren pelle, it's peanut coloured too!
Ooh, nice Tree Swallows adelbert.
The Magpies have been around cackling a lot yesterday (very dull), and today were on top of the Oaks at the back. I saw a pair in flight near each other going behind the Horse Chestnut tree, then when I was on the other side one flew past the side I was first on, lol, they were using the up currents so would have made a good shot. They were very secretive, flitting through the branches.
Congratulations adel!!!
They are such beautiful birds! Please be sure to keep us posted!
Nice shots guys!!
Pelle
