Bull Nettle, Cnidoscolus texanus;
http://www.wildflower.org/plants/result.php?id_plant=CNTE
This plant has always fascinated me, the lowers look and smell like Stephanotis, and the leaves are the most stinging that I have seen, even more than regular nettle. I it quite common around this area.
The flower close up it is a pure white.
The Sweet Scented Bull Nettle.
My friend Sheila has a "thing" about this plant! She even tries to collect some flowers to make some natural cologne.
And with good reason Linda, they smell wonderful.
