Need some advice

I have to put an 8 x 10 piece of paper on and 8 x 10 piece of sticky paper without any errors. After numerous practice attempts, I'm getting frustrated .. I always miss by a millimeter or so. Anyone know of any tricks or have any ideas on how to do this?
