I need some advice -- the cemetery my Mom is buried in never seeded her gravesite last year - no one told me and I did not find out myself until I was home in September.... I am going home in mid-April, is that too soon to spread grass seed do you think? I won't be back there again until sometime in July and I really want it to be done before that......
Also, what kind of seed is best?
I'm not even sure of the Zone - maybe 5????

April is a great time for sowing grass seed, temps are still cool. As for what zone, it would be 5 but I haven't seen grass seed divided by zones up here, a handful or two of Scotts starter fertilizer sprinkled in with the seed may be a good Idea as well. ☺

I was just giving zone info for idea of temps.....on average last frost date I believe is May 15th.....but I have not lived there for over 30 years....
