Being a sucker for a pretty mum, I just couldn't pass up a pretty pink one with huge flowers in the valentines display at my local grocery store. I want to try and keep it going until I can plant it outside. What do I need to do to keep it going, other than the light and water requirements. On that thought, do I let it dry out between waterings, or keep the soil slightly damp? It's really rootbound, should it be repotted? I assume I need to pick off spent blooms right away. Would any type of plant food help? I've never had a lot of luck with plants inside, but I keep trying!!
Any thoughts or information would be most appreciated.
