Pink Muhly grass as an annual?

Saint Paul, MN(Zone 4a)

Has anyone in the colder zones ever used Texas pink muhly grass (muhlenbergia) as an annual? It is such a gorgeous grass, but not hardy here in Minnesota. I wonder if it will "bloom" if only used for a season.....

I've used other non-hardy grasses as annuals (such as pennisetum rubrum and that wonderful "hair" grass - nassella?) and am hoping to add muhly grass!

Wow, looks like I am on the cutting edge with this one.

You might try posting this question in the grass and bamboo forum. Although I haven't grown it myself, I would imagine that there are people who treat it as an annual.

Thanks Pennefeather - I'll try that!
