Add new order and family

Corning, OH(Zone 6a)

Hi again, I'd like to add a new order Hemiptera and new family Cicadidae.
It will be for the Swamp Cicada Tibicen chloromerus.
Thank you,
Diane

That one's there already - I guess you confused Homoptera and Hemiptera? Homoptera is the right order for cicadas.

Corning, OH(Zone 6a)

No, this time I went by BugGuide instead of my book. I just went back to check and BugGuide must have it wrong. Hard to believe. They have all cicadas listed as Hemiptera.

Churchill, Victoria, Australia(Zone 10a)

This is an ever changing story. They were all Hemiptera, then Hemiptera was split into Homoptera and Heteroptera, then Heteroptera was returned to Hemiptera. The latest view seems to be to put them all back in Hemiptera.
We set BugFiles up using both Hemiptera and Homoptera and I am waiting for things to clarify, before changing our Homoptera to Hemiptera!!!!

Ok, thanks for the explaining Kennedy.

I would like to enter Sialis lutaria in Bug Files.
Could you please add the order Neuroptera and the family Sialidae ?
Thanks!

bonitin,
I have added the family Sialidae to BugFiles by creating an entry for Sialis lutaria here: http://davesgarden.com/guides/bf/go/5081/

I look forward to seeing your images of this Alderfly and selecting one to illustrate the family in the index,
