Is it not insane? This kind of weather is supposed to happen in April and May!! I live in Southern Indiana -- across the river from Louisville, Kentucky. Not only did we get tornados Tuesday night, but we had tornados last Tuesday evening as well. The tornados that hit last Tuesday were much closer to where I am than the ones from this week. Luckily, I didn't have any damage to my home, but those close by did.

Hopefully, all the DG'ers that live in the areas affected by these tornados are safe and that no damage was done to them either!

I lost a small tree, but home and family are OK. Unfortunately, many people lost their lives because it came in the middle of the night.

Marlton, NJ

I'm still trying to get in touch w/ a few people there.

Jeffersonville, IN(Zone 6b)

I hope they are ok, Pelle.

Julie, you're right, tornados in the middle of the night are the worst. Our tornado warning sirens went off just after midnight, and I was very lucky to hear them because I had just gone to bed and had not fallen asleep. Had I been asleep, I never would have heard the sirens -- many people at work voiced concerns about that at work yesterday.

It is unreal the amount of tornados that touched down Tuesday night! Mother Nature certainly is an amazing force!

Has everyone from here checked in?

I just got an e mail from Lilyfantn so she's fine.

Central, KY(Zone 6b)

We're fine, a tornado hit about 12 miles from here but we just got lots of wind and rain. Our already saturated soil caused lots of run-off and our road has washed quite a bit but I can still get thru in 4 WD.

Good to hear from you sadie!!!

Pelle ~ Have you heard anything from Marilyn, in Hebron, Ky...just outside of Cincy? I never did hear on the news how bad it was up that way.

Marlton, NJ

No I haven't yet; I'll D mail her.

Another thing is that many are without power so it might be a while before their able to check in.

Marlton, NJ

Marilynbeth is fine.
