Marlton, NJ

Heres a Blue Jay the other day.

I'm rushed for time sorry I can't put the link to the old thread.

I was surprised to learn the baby squirrels were even born yet, let alone out foraging. Photo taken Jan. 23rd.

Hi all. Nice Bluejay pics. Our squirrels are playing, babies to come next. BTW, I always see Troupials in Puerto Rico. Less of a trip than to Venezuela.

We've had an amazing number of robins this winter.

We usually have large numbers of Robins. Have seen none this winter. Now I know where they went!

Great pics, tigerlily.

Purple Finch

trois, we usually just have robins in the spring. They have inundated Western Oregon this winter, according to birding reports. They first arrived here in the hundreds of thousands in late fall.

Enjoying your images too! Glad to see you on this forum.

Varied Thrush have been coming now for a couple weeks. Reports say their numbers are down.

Red-breasted Nuthatch pair are at my backyard feeders many times daily. I've never seen them at the feeders in front.

We have lots of robins eating apples from the wild trees across the street. So great to see the varied thrush-one of my all time favorite birds. Wish we had them here.

Here's another for you, boojum.

Great set of pictures - loved the bluejays and thrush pics. Haven't seen any robins down in Louisiana yet. We usually get them on their way up north - last year I saw flocks of them on the Mississippi river levy.

Lots of beauties I have never seen. Thanks, everyone.

Here is a Yellow Crowned Night Heron with a lump in it's throat. It had just swallowed a large craw fish..

Hello everyone. Such colorful birds. You all have some great pictures, so glad I can see the large size. Your feeders are so pretty too. :-) Does the Varied Thrush visit your feeders tigerlily? I get a few birds that just come for the water I put out. I've seen this Flicker getting a drink and at the top branches of a tree. He is very timid and I only have pictures taken through a window. In this one I think he looks like a plush toy bought from the store!

Here he is the next day getting a drink before I could replace frozen water with fresh, again through a window.
LOL I love the positions the birds get in, that Jay does look like he's been caught at something!

The thrush does go for the suet feeders, but spends more time on the ground below them.

I love the flickers, and those here tend to be shy also.

Looks like he's contemplating his navel.

Can anyone get a pic of one seated in a lotus position?

;-)

angele, I posted you on the old thread.
Susan

Susan, I LOVE that feeder. Is there a way to comment directly on a photo posted here? I can't find it if there is. I'm looking at each & every large size photo & if I comment on everyone here I feel like I'd be hogging the whole thread! :-)
