I saw this tree in a person's yard and would like to have one like it. I have stopped several times to ask about it but have never found any one home.I have never seen such a beautiful tree. This picture was taken in Sept.
I need help naming this hydrangea
Looks like some sort of Hydrangea paniculata http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/adv_search.php?searcher%5Bcommon%5D=&searcher%5Bfamily%5D=&searcher%5Bgenus%5D=hydrangea&searcher%5Bspecies%5D=paniculata&searcher%5Bcultivar%5D=&searcher%5Bhybridizer%5D=&search_prefs%5Bblank_cultivar%5D=&search_prefs%5Bsort_by%5D=rating&images_prefs=both&Search=Search There are a bunch of cultivars in Plant Files which don't have pictures so you may not find an exact match.
I'd bet on a PG Hydrangea.
Definitely a Paniculata. I would say the common Paniculata Grandiflora, or PG. They get much larger than most of the cultivars.
And don't bother buying a tree form. They are very easy to train.
Thanks to all of you for your help. I was wondering if it could be a Pink Diamond?
Ladybug,
It is definitely not Pink Diamond. I'm pretty positive it is the regular PG.
