Does anybody do this? I think it is a great idea, I wish I knew about this while we were on vacation.
What happens is, you print out these cards and when you shop or go out to eat, you leave a card to let the area businesses know that you are there for the local wildlife. They go to a website printed on the card and fill out a survey. Here is a sample card from the Great Florida Birding Trail:

The next time I go away, I will search online for that area's calling card and Proudly use it. I think I will now e-mail our local Audubon Chapter and find out if they have one.
Happy Birding!

Birder's Calling Cards
How clever is that!!
I know! I had heard that when you are out birdwatching that you should wear your binoculars to bring up the conversation of birding to let the businesses know but I didn't know about the calling card.
That is a good idea! Thanks for posting it Shan!
