Cold and very windy, so the birds have that fluffy look.
My Bluebirds, today
Well, you can't have too many pics of those little guys!

Such nice close up of the birds.
Excellent pics Dave!
Great catch on # 4!
Dave,
I love your pictures!! Thanks for sharing them. I saw the first blue bird at my feeders last year. so I bought a Bluebird box that I will put up this spring. I need to now research the right spot and time to put up the new "house".
Thanks again for sharing your photos! :-)
Nice photos, as always, Dave. It looks like you have a regular photography studio right there. One can't ask for much more ..........
I'm sure that you are aware of the attention that the "Mad Bluebird" has received. You are bound to get or already have shots that challenge the "Mad Bluebird" photo.
Hi CWSPY
Nice to see someone else here from Fredericksburg. Glad you enjoy the pictures.
I leave my nestbox up all year long. When I take it down to clean it, they fly all around as if looking for it until I put it back up. They come every morning to make sure no other birds are thinking of claiming it. Been doing that since I first put it up in the fall of 2004.
And Hi Linth. Yes, I do have someting of a studio in the back yard. The blues are such photogenic birds. And yes, I do have a few Mad shots. It's funny, but when the male is looking straight at the camera, he often looks mad. He almost seems to have raised eyebrows too. The female, on the other hand, does not have that look. I'll dig out a few mad ones and post them when I get back to my main computer. I'm on the laptop down in the kitchen now.
Here is the first of several nice shots of the female taken today.

Beautiful shots Dave!
Truly inspiring, Dave!

Dave, you have a great marketing opportunity right there in your backyard.
