Need a Brit to identify this plant

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Hello Mates, I made a trip to Hampstead Heath from Texas in late November and found this plant growing in the back garden, it looks like a Begonia but the leaves are not the same texture. Anybody know what it is?

Aslo attached is a Camellia getting ready to bloom, I saw this one all over Hampstead, any clue what the cultivar might be?

It's near impossible to say which Camellia it will be without flowers. Even then some are sold nameless.

I was afraid that would be the answer. I thought that it could be whatever the most common one would be for that area.

I get your point, but there are quite a few cultivars. I bought a lot from a grower by post.

There are some catalogues which sell bulbs and other plants too, such as J Parkers and they only have 3 Camellias as a rule. They can't be relied on to be true to name either!

I think I will wait till it blooms then try the identification again.
