Some Agricultural references on the Net

Panama, NY(Zone 5a)

Successful Farming Magazine has a Technology for the office column every month and this month these two sites were listed:
http://www.agriculture.purdue.edu/agbiotech/ a Purdue University site all about biotechnology in our foods.

and:
http://www.web-agri.com
a search engine dedicated to things agricultural.

I've visited both sites briefly. The Purdue site seems to have a good deal of information on it, including a quiz on how much you know about biotechnology.

The search engine gives you 300 sites that they consider best in regards to your request. I wasn't too specific, typed in "herd dogs" first and got several breeder's sites and one about pot bellied pigs (!) and "GMO" second and got many many **** sites - the highest rating in regards to your query.

I thought I'd share these and see what others think. Sometimes a question comes up from the non-farm population that needs a very specific answer. Maybe these two sites can help out a little with that particular form of promoting agriculture and educating the public.
