Soon after being treated for mealy bugs, a double whammy happens, galls started to appear on the stems, not the roots, and have now have slowly killed off half the branches. My question is, what should i do? Is there something to treat them with, or should i just toss them, and buy new ones? Or does this thing transmit through soil? help please

What to do with gall infected pentas
Can you post a picture? I've never seen galls on Pentas, I usually see them on oaks where they really don't do any damage, so I wonder if that's really what you have or if it's something else, maybe scale?
what has happened is parts of stems have swelled to near an inch and are hard, bumpy and round, i'll get pic out as soon as i get some batteries for my digital camera
