I have a hole to fill in a brick wall .. they no longer make the bricks that were used in my house. I'm thinking it wouldn't be too hard to "fake" it. The face is rough and looks like it was splashed with white paint.. I'm thinking I could use a thin brick mortar on the face of the new bricks to simulate what the old ones look like .. I'd need to be able to dye the mortar. Can it be done? and how is it done?
