getting dried blood off white carpeting

Hello

I hope someone can give me advice on how to clean dried blood off an almost white carpet. My son rents a condo and his cat had an operation. Her first night home she bled quite a lot and the stains on the carpet are terrible. We've tried Oxyclean but that didn't work. Any suggestions? Thanks!
