Bottle tree lovers, this is your time

East Texas, United States(Zone 8a)

to go to your local recycling center and get some beautiful bottles for your project. Because of the holidays, the centers have an abundance of wine bottles and other fine glass containers. They even had a lot of red ones, which I understand are not easy to come by.

I also went looking for quart sized plastic milk jugs, which I use for cutting propagation. But, OMW, some people don't rinse their recyclables and I had some ripe ones! I had to soak some of them in ammonia just to kill that nasty odor. whew! final note: my recycle guy said that they accept the tops that you cut off the liter bottles, milk bottles, etc, so be sure and recycle those. I had been throwing them away but won't anymore.
