I'll kick it off with my favorite subject - the Bald Eagle. Here are two (2) photos taken about two weeks ago which I haven't posted. It's like candy in a store for me. I can't get enough.

Outstanding Pics Linth!!!! I'm in awe!
Thanks so much for starting the new thread!
Pelle
Linth, I think I would love to go bird watching w/ you sometime in the near future!
Looks like you have some great areas in MD!
How about a swap for areas around Cape May? :-)
definitely awesome
gorgeous!! I especially like the one with the glint in the eye.
Okay, I'm speechless... OMG!
AWESOME! OUTSTANDING!
Really wonderful photo of the symbol of our freedom and our nation!
Thanks so much for sharing!
There it is Charles! Great job!!
Nesting and planning stages... how fascinating!! I'd be right there too if it was closer.
Thanks for sharing the Eagles!
Great photo of the Mocker, debnes! Yep, that's the Florida state bird too! How did you manage to get so close?
Very nice pics debnes!!!
LOL, Maybe that Mocker came that close to you? Makes for great detail!
Gorgeous pics, Linth. What a great way to start the new thread.
Debnes; 2' away!!!, pretty soon, you'll have that beautiful mocking bird eating out of your hand. Nice to see him. Different for me.
Sorry to jump in again, but thanks, everyone. I'm glad that you all enjoy them. The peak time for me at this location (Conowingo Dam) is October thru December. I only live 60 minutes from the location and first visited the site on 11/29/07. Right in my backyard and didn't know it.
Here is one more with a fish in his talons. No more eagle photos on this thread from me. I'll enjoy other's pics.
For those interested in Bald Eagles, you may want to visit the following site. Woody Dawson is an acquaintance of mine and consider him to be my local expert. Click on the Eagle Lady. I would be interested if those members that live in Alaska have ever visited the Homer, Alaska site where the Eagle Lady feeds the 200-250 eagles daily.

Thanks, again
Another awesome pic linth!!! Thank you!
burn, very nice pic of the Dark-eyed Junco!!
Nice photo of the Bewick Wren, debnes. I was curious if you get the other species of Wrens. Reading the Cornell web site it alludes to the fact that the House Wren was mostly responsible for pushing the Bewick Wren out of the eastern states.
burn, nice photo of the Dark-eyed Junco.
Very nice shots of the Bewicks Wren debnes!

f_chisolm, I've seen birds that camouflage themselves quite well but that is the best I have never seen. I think you should report it to your local birding groups.

ROTFLOL Linth!
Beautiful shot Frank!
When I downloaded the last pix to my computer I found a good many of twigs, branches and limbs.
Sounds familiar. :-)
Nice pics Frank; the Carolina Chickadee is especially good!

Photos are great. Thanks for posting.
Thanks Pelle & Charles! Your right about the House Wren, and I haven't seen them here... Bewicks will not tolerate rudeness at all, they will just move on somewhere else. I see at least a couple of them all year, and I'm hoping to get some nesters in spring. We shall see. lol! camouflage...
Nice pics Frank! You get some great birds there!! I get the invisible/disappearing ones too.. :- LOL!
debnes
Was still a bit dark this morning, and Robin was the early bird getting the worm...
Nice pic of the American Robin Debnes!
Frank Those House Finch really have their share of health problems!
This morning the Sharp-shinned Hawk came into the yard and parked himself on the arbor for quite a while.
I guess the squirrels got tired of not having food dropped from the feeders by the birds and went up and challenged the the Sharp-shinned.
He (the squirrel) kept bluff charging the Hawk!
The Hawk moved off the arbor after seeing that this was one determined squirrel!
It was so funny to watch;I wish I could have caught a pic of those few moments.
Heres the Sharp-shinned before that.
Of course their much smaller than they look in this shot.
Nice pics Dea! Love the Tufted Titmouse shot!
I absolutely love your bald eagle pictures, Linthicum. Just amazing!
Great shots everyone!!
I've found though, that since being on this forum, that ya'll are a bunch of enablers. Sigh. My daughter and I went to Wild Birds Unlimited today, and well, I just had to have a new feeder -- a platform, and of course, I had to try out the bird food they had, and my daughter amused herself by playing with the cat they had in the store. Yes, a black cat. Anyhoo, thanks for posting about that store, because they do have a lot of nice stuff. :)
Here's a Carolina Wren checking out the"sandbox."
