Reusing Everything

I was 'cleaning out' yesterday and had curtain rods and pull down vinyl window shades ready to go to recycling when I decided to keep them: the curtain rods will act as stakes when needed this summer (I can add a little green paint that I also have just sitting around). The window shades will act as weed barriers in places like around my compost pile, under and around my greenhouse, potting and garden sheds. I am sure I will find more places to use them, than shades available.
I like to reuse everything that I possibly can. My motto: 'everything deserves a second chance to be useful!'
