'Rosario'

Bessemer City, NC(Zone 7b)

It'll be a little while before it blooms, but I wanted to share the incredible stem color of 'Rosario' now.

The amazing thing is that the color has developed out of direct light. (I took it outside for the pic.) I've moved it to a window where it can get direct light though, to see what happens.

I remember this from growing Rosario last year - the stems look like sticks of rhubarb!

Beautiful! Looking forward to seeing your blooms.

My Rosario will be opening by the end of the week. The other cybister that has a slightly less pronounced red stem is Chico.

Very pretty!

bsharf~

Looking forward to seeing your Rosario. Has the stem color held on it?

Tango had good color when the scapes first emerged, but faded somewhat as tthe stem lengthened.

Yes, its still very red.

Rosario is one of my favorite cybisters. A real treat whenever it blooms.

Lol, boojum, I'm thinking the same now. I have had 'thoughts' of having one, but after gordo's and bsharf's pics I'm devastated I don't have one!

Be still my heart!

To paraphrase a literary character:

"When you have lived a good life, like a saint, that must be what they grow for you to look at in heaven."

...they also improve the tambour of your voice...
Nero ate them while he was having Seneca drawn and quartered...

LOL (what a delightfully dark sense of humor you have!)

Actually, I think that was the answer in Final Jeopardy last year sometime. ;-)

EWWWW....talk about two completely different views of the same flower..lol

It is absolutely amazing! I love the color! I came home to two of mine blooming, Dancing Queen and Lady Jane ( I think) I will start a thread and show them off. Mine are just beginning now...I have a beautiful Jewel blooming as well.
