Chicken Broth

Central Texas, TX(Zone 8b)

We have some expired chicken broth the DW gave to me. Is it okay to pour on the compost pile? I read the label and it does have salt in it. Will the salt be leached from the pile? Or am I looking for trouble by attracting animals?

The Salt content also raises other questions. I've had things in the past that I wanted to throw in the pile, but the salt content was high.

The salt wouldn't bother me as much as the animal fat would.I found by lettting animal fat get into the compost, you will surely get screw worms.(not good) Mike

Thanks, Mike, I'll pour it down the drain.
