I remember some conversation here about this Italian Squash and was wondering where I could get seed for it. I would also be interested in some good ways you have used it in cooking/dishes. I have seed for Iran Squash for exchange. See description below ---
Gary
An older variety of winter squash, which is grown from heirloom seeds. It is not commonly found, since it is grown from heirloom seeds. Large and pumpkin-like in appearance with a round shape and flat outer ribs, this squash will grow to a weight of 20 to 25 pounds at maturity. The outer skin may be green, salmon-orange, or white/light in color which this one is, while the meat is pale orange and somewhat dense in texture. Iran squash can be prepared in the same manner as other winter squash.
Looking for Italian Squash Seed - Tromboncino
Trombocino, Climbing zucchini, Zucchetta Rampicante, Italian Trombone squash has become relatively popular in recent years. It is pretty widely distributed among home garden sources. Some are http://www.sandhillpreservation.com/catalog/squash.html

the way vgmky is describing it, doesn't quite sound like trombocino.
I believe he is describing his Iran squash
oh, I didn't pay attention! you're right.
Hi Gary! I raised these a couple of years ago, got my seed from Shoe. I thought I had a few left but if I have, I can't find them. I didn't particularly care for them so I didn't save any seeds. Sorry I can't help, perhaps Shoe will come along.
Stay well.

Thanks Farmerdill and Red! I had not looked at the Squash Section at Baker Creek. I have an order going in there and will get seed from them.
Hope everyone here has a New Year filled with good health, happiness and peace.
Gary
Gary, I have some that I will not use this year (15-20 seeds) you are welcome to if you have not yet placed your order. I still have a freezer full of it. LOL Cyndie
Pinetree sold it last year.
