Hey guys, to help keep the threads to a reasonable length (mostly for the dial-up people) I decided to start Vol. 40. Here is the link to the previous volume http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/796452/
Meanwhile, here is a chubby fellow who crossed my path while walking in the woods last week.
Daily Pics Vol. 40
Excellent photo Todd!
Thanks for starting the new thread! Pelle

He's so cute and adorable! ;-)
Marilyn
He is a portly fellow, but cute!
Cute, adorable, portly yes! But what is it??
he looks almost FAKE!
He'a awfully cute Todd...I'm curious what he is.
To answer those who asked me questions on the previous thread. I'm in the northwestern part of NB, about an hour drive from Quebec border. And thanks to everyone who commented.
So many different birds!!! Some people on here have better shots then what I've seen in books.
I have tried to photograph a Bald Eagles once. He was feeding on a road kill, when I spotted him. He flew off, when he saw me coming. I decided to park the car a little bit down and waited for him to return, but never did. He was watching me , because he kept flying over the river and landing in the trees. I couldn't get a good shot. What a beautiful big bird.
Nice Ruffed Grouse photo Todd, excellent detail.
Jane, very nice Kestrel shot, good color.
It was so foggy here today it wasn't reasonable to consider photographing birds. I saw a flock (100+) of Waxwings harvesting the berries a Alaska Regional Hospital today.
Gary
Beautiful shot Jane!
You did great; thanks for sharing it!
I was hoping for a partridge in a pear tree but a grouse on the moss will have to do!
Great Kestrel pic!
Not so long ago I was happy to get an image of the RbN at a long distance. Now they will sometimes allow me very close, and I see them many times a day.
I used to get them at the feeders in front, and they just quit coming there. Well cheesh! The only protective tree there died and had to be removed for it's close proximity to the house.
Wow beautiful pics guys!!
debnes, Yes he's a Coopers Hawk. Nice pic.
tiger, I love the Mtn. Dees and the Spotted Towhee!
Love All the pics!
Wow, to see so many neat birds in winter! All I have at my feeders are Juncos and Goldfinch!
Nice pics adel!
Wow I love seeing all those Stellers in the first pic!
I had alot of birds here today unfortunately the weather is very dark and rainy so please excuse the poor quality of the pics.
This is the first time I've ever seen the White-breasted Nuthatch on the feeder (he usually feeds on the ground close to the tree.
The Steller's are always nearby but are a bit on the shy side. I guess the cold weather is making the braver.
Adel,
Love the Steller's Jays and the California (?) Quail!
Great pics, all of them!
Pelle,
Great pics! Still have to put together my Squirrel Buster Plus feeder.
Tiger,
Great pics! Love the Mountain Dee pics! Last time I actually saw one was in CO at Estes State Park in 1983.
Debnes,
Great shot of the Hawk!
Nanny,

Jane,
Great shot of the Kestrel!
Burn,
