Some photos taken by DH and I at various times and years. Thought you like to see some.
A female RBW enjoying extra crunchy peanut butter on wooden post. I've been smearing nutty pb on this post since Dec. 2000 every day, as well as, feeding the birds on the ground and in feeders.

Various Photos From Our Yard
Male Rose Breasted Grosbeak enjoying BOSS We only get to see the Grosbeaks during the Spring and Fall migrations. It is truly a thrill when they come through and stop in our yard and feeders! I'm always speechless and in awe at these beauties! Would truly love to have them all during the Summer!

Great photos Marilyn!
I had my first RBG this spring and you're right, it's one of those "OMG look at THAT!" moments...also had my first Eastern Towhee this fall, same reaction ;-)
I also meant to add, how cool it is that you got the Downy and Hairy at the same time. I got 1 lousy pic of the 2 of them a couple of rainy weekends ago.
Sadie,
It's always a thrilling experience for sure! ;-) So glad you get to see them too! We get and see Towhees here year round, just not as much as the other year round birds. We see the male a little more often than the female. The baby (juvie) Towhees, we don't get to see too often every Summer. :-( Never got a pic of the babies (yet).
I always try to keep the feeders filled with more BOSS during the Spring and Fall migrations just for the RBG's! I even have more BOSS feeders for them now! ;-)
Sadie,
LOL ;-)
It's a bummer sometimes trying to get, just the right pic at just the right time, and then, you don't! LOL, I know! ;-)
Thanks!
At least you captured a pic of them! I have tons of lousy photos! ;-)
