First off..is the color in your pic as is in real life?...The anthers are correct but the coloring is all wrong for "Nelly Moser"..and "Nelly" has pointed Tepals as well and yours appear to be rounded..."Nelly's" bars are wider as well...Tell me the correct color and we can try to id it for you..Jeanne

yes,,, picture is just as I took it with my old digital camera. I didn't change anything.. LOL.. I think I took it on a cloudy day. And it is (or was) cool here December. I have had it for several years and it is more pale in the summer. I thought at first it was Jackmani(sp), but not sure. Here it is earlier.

How much sun is it in Elaine? Nelly Moser fades quickly in the sun.

It gets afternoon sun during the summer for about 4 hours. Right now very little sun since it so low south behind the trees. Therefore a deeper color. Thanks for your help.

My Nellie Moser has a large differential in color from the old blossoms to the new ones. Most of my other clematis stay pretty true to color. If the older flowers are faded and the new ones are more colorful that should help ID it. Even with that much light I'd bet that it's true.
