What Are Cuttings??

Westerly, RI(Zone 6b)

When people say they have cuttings of different plants are they snipets or newly rooted? If the are snips how do you ship them without them dying? I allways thought you should put them in root tone asap then in soil. And don't look at my trade list, because I have cuttings listed to, just don't know what they are. :>)

Try this link for shipping information; http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/502752/ I don't know as I would want to risk shipping cutting without some roots. Your right they are snippets or slips cut off the mother plant. And yes, you can use roottone or I sometimes plop mine in water till I can get to them

If you're wondering whether people are planning to send rooted or unrooted cuttings, I'd dmail them and ask. Some people do send unrooted cuttings so it's definitely worth checking.

Thanks
