Short clematis for tree

Sherrill, NY(Zone 5a)

Very cold and snowy out there today! A perfect time to dream of my Spring garden. I have a short weeping redbud tree, about 4 1/2 feet tall. It weeps over to one side with it's leaves hanging to the ground. The other side of the tree is pretty bare and so I was trying to think of a short clematis to grow up the tree on that side.

Does anyone have any ideas? It would need to be pruning group 3 and only get about 5 feet tall.
Preferably a wine color, cranberry or burgundy.

Thanks everyone!

Just click on this link:

Then put the color of the tepal..they are all called purple when you say burgandy, wine etc..or red if you want to check out those..then put in the height and under pruning group click on pruning group 3..they will all be listed with those specific wants...Jeanne

thanks Jeanne. that's quite a database! I was thinking of one of the Evison "patio clematis" as they stay small. Has anyone had good luck with any of those?
