Will you be using the whole greenhouse for starting seed? What is the lighting situation? Seedlings will get leggy if they don't get enough light. What will be the minimum temperature of the greenhouse? Bottom heat? Here are some helpful links until someone with more knowledge comes along as I start my seed in the house and don't put them in the greenhouse until the plants are old enough to fend for themselves.

Start Geraniums first of Jan. for 6" pots by April.
Double petunias for baskets start Jan 10,
Single petunias for baskets start Jan 20.
single petunias for flat sales start first of Feb. REady 2nd week in April.
New Guinea Impatiens and Double Impatiens for pots sow mid Feb. ready April
Vinca for flats sow Mid Feb,
Carnations sow mid Feb for pots by MOthers Day
Dwarf Zinnias for pots by April sow Feb 20.

For a much larger list, you can call Park Seed Wholesale and order a
Seed starting schedule for $5. It tells how long it takes to germinate, how to germinate, how long to grow in plug flats til ready to transplant and how long to grow before ready for sales. Its not totally accurate because plants will be ready on differant dates depending on the zone you live in. Expect them to be ready a week sooner in Alabama. We are warmer than the north. More Sun Shine than the north during the winter months.

Example: A man in Central Canada starts his Coleus first of Jan and they are not ready for pot sales for 12 -14weeks. It only takes mine 9 weeks down here in the South.

Good Luck
