Please help

Hi I'm new to this but love gardening. I have seen an incredible flower (working on getting a picture of it). The most vibrant red/ pink and its like a massive big pom pom. Apparently the stalk, trunk of the plant is like a franjipani - plumeria family perhaps?? But I'm desperate to find out what this flower/ plant is called so I can track another down. Its growing in a garden south of brisbane.

Hi Shep8. I know this one as I recently looked it up for my Husband who saw it on a TV show recently, or at least I think its the same one. I think the name is Erythrina, or coral tree. Google it as images and see.
